I'm a little bit late to the party, but I finally grabbed a bottle of Essie Starry Starry Night.
I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't really planning on grabbing a bottle of SSN. The original is really pretty, but the swatches I had seen of the revival shade didn't totally thrill me. But I saw one bottle sitting all by itself at Ulta and I just couldn't leave it sitting all alone...so I grabbed it.
Starry Starry Night is a slightly jelly-ish midnight blue polish with small, silver glitters throughout. Since the polish is semi-jelly you can layer it up to get some nice depth. The formula is okay. It's not terrible, but it can be a little bit gloopy. It's nothing that would stop me from using it, but there are definitely better formulas out there.
I definitely don't regret picking this bad boy up, it's a really pretty polish that I can definitely see myself reaching for in the future. That being said, I don't think it's as pretty as the OG Starry Starry Night. I wish I had the original so I could do side-by-side swatches, but from other swatches I've seen this revival shade doesn't do the original justice.
